Life and Work

Ognian Zekoff was born in 1964 in Pleven, Bulgaria.

Trained as a pianist from an early age, he later chose painting as his primary form of expression. At fourteen, he was admitted to the National High School of Fine Arts in Sofia, continuing his studies in Painting at the National Academy of Fine Arts.

His first solo exhibition took place in London in 1992. Over the years, his work has been exhibited internationally through numerous solo and group exhibitions across Europe, North America, and Asia.

Since 2007, Zekoff has lived and worked in Montreal, Canada.

At the age of fourteen, he was admitted to the National High School of Fine Arts in Sofia, later continuing his studies in Painting at the National Academy of Fine Arts.

His first solo exhibition took place at Grove Gallery in London in 1992. Over the years, his work has gained international recognition through numerous solo and group exhibitions across Europe, North America, and Asia, as well as multiple international awards.

Since 2007, Zekoff has lived and worked in Montreal, Canada.
